Our multi-award-winning DermaLux Tri-Wave Light Therapy device uses wavelengths of blue, red and infrared light to target concerns such as skin inflammation, eczema, acne, wounds and signs of aging. It also accelerates the healing process and enhances treatment results when used post-procedure.

LED light therapy can treat a multitude of skin conditions including acne, rosacea, inflammatory conditions and overall skin health and rejuvenation. It pairs well with, and enhances, any of our skin treatments at HUB.

This treatment is not recommended if you suffer from photosensitivity, epilepsy, light-Induced headaches or have open wounds or infections. LED light therapy is not suitable for those within their first trimester of pregnancy, however anyone past their first trimester can use LED.

During LED light therapy, high-output Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) deliver clinically proven wavelengths of blue (415nm), red (633nm), and near infrared (830nm) light. LEDs ensure focused and optimised penetration of light into the skin, allowing for targeted treatments. Our Dermalux device enables all three wavelengths to be delivered as individual or multi-wavelength treatments for maximum skin-enhancing results. - Blue light (415nm) - for acne, pustules and extractions, we use the 415nm wavelength to oxygenate the follicle and reduce the presence of acne and the bacterium linked to blemishes. - Red light (633nm) - beneficial for reducing fine lines and wrinkles, accelerating wound healing, improving skin texture and tone, reducing inflammation, enhancing circulation and boosting cellular energy. - Near infrared (830nm) - used for healing, plumping and firming the skin, the 830nm wavelength is used to directly impact cells, stimulate collagen and promote elastin growth.

LED light therapy is comfortable and painless. You might feel a slight warming sensation, however this is typically very relaxing. Protective goggles will be provided to shield your eyes from the bright light.

The frequency of treatments will be different for each client. For specific concerns such as acne, barrier impairment and rosacea, we recommend up to 2 treatments per week for 2 to 4 weeks in a close series. Some clients enjoy an LED treatment between their larger treatments with us or as the perfect enhancement with our other skin treatments at HUB.

HUB Skin Wellness Pilates requires a minimum of 48 hours’ notice when cancelling or rescheduling an appointment. All appointments require a card to be held on file, and for treatments valued $100 and over, we require a $50 non-refundable deposit.

If you reschedule or cancel with more than 48 hours’ notice, and your treatment is valued $100 and over, your $50 non-refundable deposit can be applied when securing your next appointment or used as a credit to purchase product from HUB Skin.
If you reschedule or cancel your appointment within the 48-hour window, or fail to attend your appointment, your card on file will be charged 50% of your total treatment fee. This is applicable to all appointments, regardless of the treatment value.

Please note if you fail to attend an appointment on two or more occasions without notice, we will require the full treatment amount to be paid at the time of booking for any future appointments.

HUB Skin Wellness Pilates Cancellation Policy is in place to ensure the sustainability of our small business. Appointments require a commitment of resources which cost the business in the event of cancellation, therefore the Cancellation Policy is in place not to ‘punish’ clients but to protect the viability of our business.
