Pilates FAQs

You’ll find our frequently asked questions below, get in touch if you have unanswered questions here.

  • To allow as many people as possible to book into our classes, we have an 8 hour cancellation policy. Cancelling within 8 hours? This will result in a $5 late cancellation fee, and you’ll lose your class credit. Miss your class entirely? That’s a $10 no show fee, and you’ll still lose the credit. For any  Infrared Sauna sessions, if you cancel within 2 hours before your session, there’s no late cancellation fees, but you’ll lose your session credit. To avoid this happening please use your momence dashboard to view all your upcoming classes & appointments. You can also book, cancel or reschedule all in your own time 24/7. How convenient is that?!

With only 8 beds, every spot counts, so please make sure you’re ready to commit when booking! We recommend prebooking your sessions as soon as possible to secure your spot in a class.

If a class is full, join the waitlist! The waitlist moves quickly, but here’s the deal: if you can’t make it, please remove yourself from the list. When a spot becomes available the 1st person on the list will automatically be added and will be notified via both text and email. Once you’re added into a class from the waitlist, the same fees apply if you late cancel or no-show, so stay on top of it and use your app to remove yourself if needed!

We can’t wait to see you in the studio, so make sure you book your classes, respect the policy, and most importantly, enjoy your time on the Reformer!

  • At HUB Pilates, we are proud to be a safe and welcoming space for all, including those new to Pilates practice. We recommend beginning your journey with our Reformer Fundamentals class, tailored to gently introduce newcomers to the practice, and then exploring our other classes from there. For those wanting personalised guidance before integrating into group classes, our 1:1 and 1:2 private classes are the perfect option to support your individual needs.

  • Opt for workout attire that allows freedom of movement. Whether you prefer grip socks for added stability, or simply going barefoot on the reformers, the choice is yours!

  • We welcome participants aged 14 and above to join our Pilates classes, with parental permission if under 18. Students aged 17 and under qualify for a 10% discount on all Class Packs and Memberships. Simply email us to get started and enjoy the benefits of our discounted rates.

  • Pregnant clients may participate in our HUB Pilates Classes up to their 35th week of pregnancy, provided they obtain medical clearance after the 15th week. In certain cases, personalised 1:1 Classes can be arranged to create a customised plan for you and your baby's well-being.

  • The appropriate time to wait before beginning Reformer Pilates classes after pregnancy can vary depending on individual circumstances, including the type of delivery. We require you to consult with your healthcare provider to get clearance, ensuring a safe transition back into movement.

  • Reformer Pilates offers a myriad of benefits for both the body and mind. Some of the key advantages include: improved strength, enhanced flexibility, better posture, increased muscle tone, core stability, injury rehabilitation, stress relief and better body awareness. Overall, Reformer Pilates offers a holistic approach to fitness, promoting strength, flexibility, balance and mental wellbeing.

  • While we love little ones, for safety reasons, we ask that children do not attend classes. Our sitting area is separate from the reformer room, and there may not be staff available in the reception area to supervise if needed.

  • Our classes have eight beds, making for a more personalised and intimate experience where everyone feels welcome.

  • All you need is your water bottle which can be refilled with filtered water in the studio at HUB. That's all you need to bring – we'll take care of the rest!

  • It's all about finding what best suits your lifestyle and schedule. To see continued strength and improvement in your practice we recommend at least two classes per week.

  • Reformer Pilates can be a beneficial exercise option for those carrying an injury, however it is crucial to consider the nature and severity of the injury. We recommend consulting with a healthcare professional or a qualified Pilates instructor before beginning any new exercise program, particularly with an existing injury. In some instances, our instructors can modify exercises within group classes to accommodate your injury and maintain a safe and effective workout.

  • Absolutely! We have a refer-a-friend program accessible through your Momence app. Just ensure your friend has a Momence account and a reserved spot in the class, and they're good to go!

  • We don't have a dedicated changing room, but you're welcome to use our sauna room or bathroom.

  • Grip socks are not mandatory, but we offer them for purchase if you prefer to wear them.

  • Yes you can!
